A gorgeous polar fox,
The card got a bit marked by the mail monster but it's not too bad luckily.

Official Postcards and Other Mail

Recently I decided to draw my allotment of addresses on the official Postcrossing site as I hadn't sent any in a while. I sent 9 out and so far 3 have been registered, I won't be receiving any cards for a while though as I have a small gap (about 5) between my sent and received. I have also been doing lots of swaps, again, and have received a few pen pal letters.

My official postcards going out

A postcard swap - pick 3, I am sending an extra because I wanted to, going out.

Some incoming mail, a letter from my pen pal in France and one of my 6 month RR cards.

A letter from my pen pal in The Netherlands, she sent me some really cute stickers from Hema which I was quite excited about. I love stickers!

Last but not least a letter I sent to my pen pal in Finland. I made an ATC for her and a little envelope with some teabags, there is also a little bookmark and postcard. The envelope is made out of a page of a Noddy annual.

I also sent out a tea swap and a handmade swap and forgot the pictures. So I have a few pen pal replies to work on plus some other letters, note cards and mail art to work on - fun times ^_^

Sparkles and Cats

Hello again, some more lovely incoming and outgoing mail to share with you today. I'll start with the mail I have received.

A card for Friendship Day signed by some Postcrossers in Finland, sent to me by my pen pal. The sequins are for a craft project and I thought it was a fun touch for her to send them with this particular postcard.

I've been receiving some great letters from Mooshi the Cat from a fellow Postcrosser and I thought I'd send a little envelope to say thank you. I enclosed some stamps as the lady sending the letters collects them, and a few cat cards for her postcard collection.

This is a card to someone from Sendsomething. I really like the colours in this card and the flowers called lanterns, I'd love to have some flowers like that in my garden one day.

Stamptastic!

Well funny title I know but I am feeling a bit enthusiastic today about stamps. I placed an order online recently for some stamps to use for my snail mail and I received some fantastic stamps. It's always a case of lucky dip, you choose the value of the stamp but never know what pictures will be on them. So I thought I'd share my lovely stamps with you, who knows you might receive some post with one of these stamps on them!

I tend to try and match stamps to the person rather than the mail I am sending, unless I have the perfect stamp for the postcard/letter then I will use that of course.

Are you a stamp enthusiast? How do you buy stamps, are you lucky enough to have a post office that sells lots of different stamps? My post office sells some of the recent stamps but I have to go online for older stamps.

The Secret Penpal Scavenger Hunt

I'm really excited to be taking part in this this year. I read about it before on SnailMailLove and it looked like a lot of fun so I signed up this year and I have just received my partner to send to. I won't be posting again until everyone has received, there will be a certain time we can all post our sent and received. Watch this space for later posts.

A lovely sunset over Mt. Hood in Oregon from USA

Stamps and Postmarks

I'm a big fan of pretty stamps and postmarks, or cancellations, and have been really lucky recently to receive some great ones.

This is the recent postcrossing stamp from Russia with the accompanying postmark, I love the heart it's just lovely.

This one is from Japan and the postmark is very pretty and detailed.

Another one from Japan I especially love the temple stamp, very beautiful.

How do you feel about stamps, are you a collector - serious or amatuer?

A little bit of love

Happy Valentine's Day or Friendship Day to you all. I hope whatever you do this day you have an enjoyable day :) I shall be having a nice meal then a movie night with my other half, not decided on the movie yet though.

So this is just a quick post to share a Valentine's Day card I made for my Husband.

It is a pretty simple card, I made an origami heart and attached it to the card. The backing paper is an old range from Country Companions I thought it matched quite nicely. I am "posting" this through our door the night before so my Husband will find it when the mail arrives, that's providing we get some!

Do you celebrate either Valentine's Day or Friendship Day or is today just a normal day?

Secret Pen Pal Scavenger Hunt Quick Peek

For those interested a quick peek into my outgoing parcel which is winging it's way to........ well that's a secret ;)

My 5 choices plus a gift, I included a little card (not shown) with the numbers detailing which choice each package is.

The final envelope decorated with a page from my 2014 Terry Pratchett calendar.

Now it's a matter of waiting for my partner to receive their parcel!

Anime, Cats and Beautiful Scenery

Another mail roundup for you today, I have been busy as usual doing swaps and writing pen pal letters. I have a busy few months ahead of me as well March being a month of birthdays and Mother's Day so I shall be making a few cards soon :)

Here was an envelope from a friend in Russia with a shaped postcard of Princess Mononoke, a bookmark of Miyazaki Hayao from Studio Ghibli, A postcard from one of my favourite animes Death Note, a postcard from a sports anime and a postcard showing various things related to Russia, there will be a post soon showing the cool stamp and postmark on the back of that card.  The cat postcard was from someone on Sendsomething, it's nice to receive surprise mail I'll be sending them something back soon.

This is from my pen pal in Finland she also enclosed two postcards from a private swap we did. The rabbit is so cute and I love the snowy scene. She also sent me some chilli chocolate yummy, and some LotR mini cards with one of my favourite characters on it.

This is another notecard with enclosure swap-bot swap, this is the envelope I received with some lovely profile based items and a very pretty viewcard.

This is what I sent to my partner, a blank Jane Austen notecard with envelope, a Jane Austen postcard and some washi tape samples. I wrote a note to her in the green card with bird cages.

Finally a letter to my pen pal in The Netherlands, I enclosed some notecards and washi samples and tied it all together in a pretty ribbon. I decorated the envelope in matching colours using washi tape - I love that stuff!

Swaps In and Out

Not a very exciting title but swaps are always good fun, you never know what you might receive or how your partner is going to interpret your profile. I like to sign up for swaps that include supplies for my snail mail needs and ones that include a letter or postcard as I love to read short and long notes written by my partners.

The first swap I'm posting is a UK one where we exchanged pen pal supplies.

This is my outgoing swap, my partner likes hippy stuff and rainbows according to her profile :)

This is what I received lots of lovely profile based items, I've used some already!

This swap is international and was a notecard with small enclosures.

This is my outgoing swap, the lady asked for postcards with psalms in her profile and I just happened to have two waiting for a good home, it's always nice when you have just what someone is looking for.

Outgoing Mail - January (Part 4)

Some more outgoing mail for January, these ones take a little bit longer to travel so I'm posting later in the hopes they will have been received by now :)

This was a handmade envelope made from a 2014 Terry Pratchett calendar and I sent my friend in Russia some postcards and bookmarks as a New Year's Greeting. *Funny story I managed to miss a stamp so the envelope came back with a removeable sticker, I added that missing stamp and sent it on it's way again (hopefully it will make all the way there this time!)

And finally some more New Year's Greetings for Year of the Sheep, going to China and Japan, done my way ;)

Outgoing mail - January (Part 3)

Whoops this should have been posted a while ago! This was my last batch of mail going out in January.

These are a few New Year Cards I sent out to some friends on the Postcrossing forums. I wanted to send out the new Alice in Wonderland stamps as I think they are really cool.

This is a letter to my pen pal in Finland with a PHQ postcard of the new stamps I mentioned, unfortunately my post office only had a few designs and not the 81p stamps which is such a shame.
